Records Management Webinar

This webinar will be an introduction to records management. It will explain the legal requirement of a records management program, how to implement a records management policy, how the Texas State Library and Archives retention schedules can help and how to use them, and how an effective records management program will help with requests for public information.


About the Speaker

Jeana began her employment at the City of Brenham in November 2006 and was appointed by the City Council to the role of City Secretary in October 2008. In March 2019 Jeana was asked to also oversee the City’s Purchasing Services, Central Fleet, and Central Warehouse.  

Jeana earned her TRMC Certification in 2010 (No. 576) and has recertified twice. Jeana is active in TMCA, where she has served on the Audit (2013, 2014), Scholarship (2015), Nominating (2017), Clerk of Year (2018, 2019), and Awards/Emerging Leader (2020) Committees. Jeana has also been a member of the TMCCP Election Law Seminar team of presenters for the past two years. She is active in the Capital Chapter, having served on various committees and also as Secretary, Treasurer, and President. She was honored as the Capital Chapter’s Clerk of Year in 2014 and 2015 and was nominated for TMCA’s Municipal Clerk of Year in 2015.

Jeana is a member of IIMC and received her Certified Municipal Clerk designation in 2016; she is currently pursuing her Master Municipal Clerk designation. She is also an active member in Region 10 of the Texas Municipal League.
