The level of stress in the workplace continues to rise and the need for developing and mastering coping skills is even greater. This webinar will identify and define the types of stressors you are facing, teach practical tools for coping with stress, and help improve your personal self-care and self-compassion. The stressors for a municipal clerk can be significant given the public service nature of the profession. Municipal clerks are the “face” of the city and work directly with citizens. It is not uncommon that the citizens you interact with are experiencing some type of distress. This distress in turn is a stressor for you. Stress at work and at home affect your overall well-being. Building on your existing strengths, you can improve your ability to manage stress. We all feel overwhelmed at times, this webinar will provide a practical plan to help.

"This was a timely topic and dealt with where we are in our workplaces today. I learned that it's essential to learn how to de-stress and prioritize things that will keep you from stressing. The workplace is the place we spend most of our day so it's important that we make it as stress free as we can. It's not easy but it can be done."
"[The most valuable part of the webinar was] hearing all the feedback from all the other clerks. They are in the battle too, sometimes it helps to know you aren't alone."
"[The most valuable part of the webinar was] learning different ways to organize tasks--'mind dumps'--and recognizing burnout and compassion fatigue."
