This webinar will provide a history of home rule charters in Texas, detail the process for adopting an initial charter and the requirements for after the charter is adopted.  After this background information is presented, the trainers will share information related to charter amendment elections.  This will include the method to amend, including relevant local government code.  Both City council driven and citizen petition driven methods will be explained.
